Everything You Need to Know About Theory Test Booking in the UK

What Is the Theory Test and Why Does It Matter ?
The theory test is a mandatory step in the UK driving licence process, overseen by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). It assesses your knowledge of the Highway Code, road signs, hazard perception, and safe driving principles. You must pass it before you're eligible to take your practical driving test.
The test is split into two parts: a multiple-choice section and a hazard perception video test. Both parts must be passed in the same sitting. Failing either one means you'll need to rebook and resit the whole thing, so solid preparation matters.
